Four-star 2019 Atlanta (Ga.) guard Chase Hunter announced a commitment to Clemson on Wednesday.
Hunter visited Clemson last weekend and picked the Tigers out of a group with Georgia, Virginia, Michigan State and Oklahoma. 247Sports sees Hunter, who is now rated as a top-100 player nationally (No. 97) and the No. 4 prospect in Georgia, as a prospect on the rise. "Chase Hunter is an athletic guard who really improved from the spring to the summer," 247Sports analyst Brian Snow said. "He has a dynamic first step which allows him to create off the bounce and then also is a good shooter out to three." The 6-3 combo guard improved his average by nine points per game from his sophomore to junior seasons, posting 15.6 points and 4.1 rebounds at Westlake. Hunter is Clemson's first 2019 commitment. The Tigers will also welcome a grad transfer with two seasons of eligibility left in 2019, with former UNC Asheville forward Jonathan Baehre. I would like to thank all the college coaches that have recruited me during this process. I will be committing to... pic.twitter.com/UiIrvdDuRX It’s a GREAT day to be a Clemson Tiger ??! #ClemsonGRIT #tigerpride
