Since Steve Spurrier was hired at South Carolina, the Gamecocks have been in hot pursuit of Rendrick Taylor. Taylor had made arrangements to take official visits to Florida State and South Carolina. Now, Taylor maybe changing his mind.

"I am firmly committed to Clemson. Earlier I made arrangements to take some official visits, but right now I think I am going to cancel those and just take my official visit to Clemson."

Taylor has been very impressive this week at the Shrine Bowl. He has been one of the more pleasant kids to be around all week. On the field, Taylor has shown off his great body and big hands.

"It has been very busy week running from offense to defense. Trying to learn the plays as quick as possible. We only have a week to get everything in. Sometimes it got a little hectic and I got confused."

This week Taylor will be mainly used as strong safety, but will also see time at wide receiver. Taylor will focus on stopping a high powered North Carolina offense.

"Stopping the run will be a key. They have a really good running game, but they also have a really good passing game."

Taylor shared with us what he feels he will bring to the Tigers next season.

"I hit really good and work on my form tackling a lot. I am always playing at full speed. When I touch the ball on offense, I try to be as hard as possible to bring down. Run really hard and break as many tackles as I possibly can."

While many fans have expressed concern over Taylor's commitment, after spending time with Taylor this week, we feel confident in saying Taylor is a very solid commitment to the Tigers.
