Antonio Clay - Linebacker
Height: 6-1   Weight: 210   Hometown: Jefferson, GA (Twiggs Co. HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

Antonio Clay is one of the top linebacking prospects on the board. Several schools have been knocking down Clay's door for quite some time. The Tigers have been solid in Clay's top five for several months. Clay brings the confidence and attitude that the Tigers will need next season.

"I am going to have a big game every game. That is just the type player I am. I lay it on the line every week and make plays."

So far this season, Clay's confidence has been backed up by his play on the field. He has 52 tackles, 14 of them behind the line of scrimmage, 4 forced fumbles, one of which he recovered and took for a touchdown.

Clay has already been to Oklahoma for a visit. His official visits remain unclear outside of Clemson on October 22 and 23.

"I have already been to Oklahoma. It went well. The players and coaches were all very nice. I had a good time when I went out with the players. I will be at Clemson the weekend of the Maryland game. This weekend I am going to Miami-Georgia Tech, and the following weekend I will be in Athens for Georgia-Tennessee."

Leroy Hill will be the player host for Clay on his official visit. Hill played for Clay's high school coach. Clay has often mentioned how Clemson reminds him of home, but the Tigers will have to beat several national powers to become Clay's official home for the next 4 years.
