Clemson TE suffers possible torn ACL, Kelly questionable |
CLEMSON – With spring practice coming to a close, the Clemson Tigers are dealing with several injuries heading into Saturday’s spring game.
Tight end Garrett Williams is out with a knee injury, but head coach Dabo Swinney told the media Tuesday they aren’t sure about the seriousness of the injury. “We’re not 100-percent sure right now what it is,” Swinney said of Williams’ injury. “They’re going to scope him. We’ve got several guys who are already scheduled to have some clean up type scopes next week. It could be an ACL but we’re not sure of that. The plan is to scope it next week and if it truly is then they’ll fix it.” Mark Fields, who has battled turf toe since the National Championship game against Alabama, will also not play in Saturday’s game. Linebacker Kendall Joseph, center Justin Falcinelli and quarterback Kelly Bryant are questionable for Saturday.
