Georgia Tech snaps 10-game losing streak to Clemson

by - Senior Writer -

Clemson’s slim NCAA Tournament hopes froze over on a cold shooting night in Atlanta.

Georgia Tech (12-10, 3-11 ACC) used a 14-0 second half run and five-minute scoring drought by the Tigers in defeating Clemson 63-52 at McCamish Pavilion Monday night. The win by one of the ACC’s worst teams broke a 10-game winning streak the Tigers had over the Jackets.

Clemson had tied the game at 32-32 midway through the second half, but had just one field goal in over ten minutes of game action as Tech opened up a 54-37 lead. Clemson never led in the game. The Tigers were also outscored 40-20 in the paint.
