Rising sophomore Tee Higgins led Clemson's representatives on Athlon's Top-50 college football wide receivers list this week.

Moving up the depth chart in Deon Cain's former position, the former 5-star Higgins checked in at No. 24.

"Higgins is just scratching the surface of his potential after catching 17 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman last fall," Athlon's Steve Lassan writes. "Look for the sophomore to emerge as one of the ACC’s top receivers in 2018."

Senior Hunter Renfrow rounded out the list at No. 50.

"From walk-on to national championship hero. Renfrow’s career in Death Valley has been a fascinating story to watch," Lassan said, "and he’s been a consistent contributor for Clemson’s passing game in each of the last three years."

Top targets Clemson will likely defend this season include South Carolina's Deebo Samuel (4), who missed last year's Palmetto Bowl and most of the season due to injury, as well as NC State's Kelvin Harmon (8), Miami's Ahmmon Richards (11), Wake Forest's Greg Dortch (12) and Louisville's Jaylen Smith (13).

Season outlook: WRs
