Former Clemson signal-caller
Charlie Whitehurst was waived by the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday according to team officials.
The team activated running back David Cobb from the injury reserve and released Whitehurst to make room on their active roster. In 2014, Whitehurst was 105-185 passing for 1,326 yards with seven passing touchdowns and only two interceptions for a quarterback rating of 87.4. For his career, he has passed for 2,131 yards with ten passing touchdowns and six interceptions for a quarterback rating of 77.0. He was drafted by the Chargers in the third round (81st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.
