has been optioned to Albuquerque (PCL) on Saturday according to multiple reports.

Parker was raking major-league pitching with a .333 batting average with five doubles and six walks in 42 at-bats this spring training. In 2014, he batted only .192 with 14 strikeouts in 26 at-bats at the major league level. During the 2014 season at Colorado Springs (Triple-A), he batted .289 with 15 home runs and 72 RBIs.

He already has 82 home runs total in his minor league career (4 seasons).

The former two-sport star at Clemson was drafted by the Rockies with the 26th overall pick in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed for $1,400,000.

Parker threw for 4739 yards and 32 touchdowns and 23 interceptions as a starting quarterback for the Tigers (2009-2010). He was also the first division one athlete in history to throw 20 touchdown passes and hit 20 homeruns in the same academic year.

Rockies' utility infielder Cristhian Adames and right-handed pitcher Jairo Diaz were also optioned to the minors.
