was traded from the Oakland A's to the Colorado Rockies for cash considerations.

Pohl was assigned to the Rockies' Double-A affiliate New Britain Rock Cats.

In 179 minor-league games, he has a .247 average, 18 home runs and 75 RBI's.

He was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 28th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft from Clemson. He was also selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 44th round of the 2008 Draft but did not sign.

Official Clemson Bio: Team co-captain in 2012...one of the most respected players on the team for his hard work and dedication on the field and in the classroom...was the primary backup behind the plate in 2009 and 2010, but he became one of the team's top hitters and batted in the #2 spot in the batting order during the second half of the 2011 season...slated to be the starter at DH, but has the versatility to make an impact at other positions...two-time team co-captain...a career .285 hitter with a .368 on-base percentage in 135 games (94 starts) over three seasons...has 33 doubles, one triple, six homers, 55 RBIs, 64 runs, 31 walks, 20 hit-by-pitches, and five steals...two-time All-ACC Academic selection...preseason first-team All-ACC by CollegeSportsMadness.com.
