Former Clemson WR signs with CFL team

Former Clemson standout wide receiver Jacoby Ford has signed with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

Ford was cut by the Jets in their training camp in 2014 and also had previous stints with the Raiders and Titans.

For his NFL career, he has 57 receptions for 848 yards and three receiving touchdowns and also has four kickoff return touchdowns.

At Clemson, Ford and C.J. Spiller became the greatest all-purpose duo in NCAA history. Ford had 49 punt returns for 479 yards and two touchdowns and 47 kickoff returns for 1,124 yards and a score. Ford also had 143 catches for 1,986 yards with 16 touchdowns in 48 games at Clemson.

He was also the 60 meters indoor NCAA Championship in track during his college days.

Ford was drafted by the Raiders in the 4th round of the 2010 NFL draft (108th overall).
