Fall football practice starts next week for the nation’s No. 1 defensive tackle prospect, and he tells TigerNet it will be good to get back on the field again after a busy summer.

is a 5-star standout out of Vienna (GA) Dooly County who has taken trips to Clemson, Florida, Auburn, Michigan St., Alabama and Georgia this summer. Last weekend he was at Auburn with his mother and girlfriend, but said his visits are for on hold now as he concentrates on football once again.

“We have been working out and lifting weights and going over plays and things like that,” Adams told TigerNet Thursday evening. “We have been conditioning. But it’s time to get to back to football, and we get to put on the pads next week. I am ready to get started. Since we are starting school, no more visits.”

Adams chose the trip to Auburn over attending Clemson’s All In Cookout – he said he wanted to see Auburn one more time after seeing Clemson multiple times – and had a good time.

“I talked to the coaches, but didn’t really talk to any of the players,” he said. “I saw the facilities again. My girlfriend liked it and so did my mama.”

Adams said he plans to take visits during football season, and then release a list of his final six schools at the end of the season.

Adams said that Clemson’s recent commitment from defensive tackle prospect Scott Pagano Scott Pagano

won’t affect his decision. He then said that Clemson has a great chance of making his top six, and even his top three.

“Clemson is a place I feel at home,” he said. “I love the coaches, and the family atmosphere. They have great people there. The coaches stay in touch with me. They are a team that is going to get better and better, and a team that I can see myself playing for. They are a team that is going to be very good in the future.”

Adams stands at No. 11 in ESPN’s top 150 and is the second-rated player in the state of Georgia behind Clemson commit and Grayson standout Robert Nkemdiche Robert Nkemdiche
