Slade Nagle:

What are some the reasons for you choosing the Tigers over LSU?

It came down to Clemson and LSU. I really just felt comfortable around everybody at Clemson, the coaches and the players and the school itself. I liked that it had a big time football atmosphere with not a very big town and a school that was not overpopulated with students.

How did you first become interested in Clemson and how were the Tigers were able to move up your charts since the summer?

They contacted my high school coach last spring asking for a highlight film. Then began writing me. Then they contacted me in August. I really showed interest the whole time. I just wanted to give them a chance and see what it was like. I really fell in love with it when I went down there.

What kinds of things will you bring to the Clemson offense in terms of rushing and passing?

Some of my attributes are drop back passing, throwing on the run, and bootlegs. I know they like to move the pocket which is fine with me. I can run the option pretty descent. It doesn't bother me at all. I just want to be a leader and do what I can to help their program.

Are you nimble of foot or do you prefer staying back and passing out of the pocket?

It really doesn't matter to me. I think that is one thing that has helped me a lot is my foot speed. I wouldn't say I am a lightening fast guy but I do have good footwork to do able to sprint out, or throw on the run, or drop back and pass.

Since you can enroll in January do expect to come in to and compete for the starting job?

I really couldn't tell you that right now. I just want to come in and hopefully learn the system as fast as I can and work as hard as I can. And whatever happens from there happens.

Would you say you have really good arm strength?

Yes sir. Better than average. I wouldn't say that I have an outstanding arm. I think I can make most of the throws that are needed to be made in college football.

Are you glad the recruiting process is over?

Yes sir. I'm really glad to be a Clemson Tiger also.
