When that barb hits the back of his hand, he'll sure know it.

Did I see them cut the barb off??? Assuming they are going to throw it back in, is that the right thing to do? I certainly understand that you don't want to get stung so wonder why they pulled it in?

Did anyone else immediately picture Nuk actually “catching” a stingray with his bare hands? Funny how the mind works.

I really don't know. I can say that I have hooked Stingray's fishing off the bank at Pearl Harbor that was breaking 100 lb steel braided line before I could get them off the bottom bc, when they are eating the bait, they will bury themselves in the mud, and we could never get them. And we learned that it was Stingray's we were hooking from the locals, and they told us that when you hooked one, that you have to wait until they decide to come out the mud, and that could take hours, but if you release the pressure of the line, that they would un-bury themselves in about a hour. But they will bury themselves in the sand or mud at the bottom wherever you're fishing at, and that it was best to not fish on the bottom in the channel where the ships go in and out at Pearl Harbor....
