I think the NCAA may finally start to put pressure on the mounting issues happening in the SEC.

Starting with the issues at Missouri to LSU and Les Miles Title IX issues to UGA/Bama/UT recruiting and pay for play allegations..

It's just starting to get a bit too much to ignore overall on the culture in the programs. Now the mighty SEC may say screw you and leave the NCAA - which is likely what they've been lording over them for decades. But it's getting to a point the NCAA can't ignore it anymore. They are openly flouting everything the NCAA stands for.

You can say what you want about the Big Ten and the ESPN/TV money they get, but those institutions do care about being in the NCAA and adhering to an academic and risk based philosophy. The SEC does not.

They cant just leave the NCAA, they would need the rest of the power 5 to go with them. If the SEC left by themselves they would have no access to the CFP.

The NCAA has nothing to do with the CFP...

The NCAA does not have any control over the CFP, which team are selected to play, no financial stake, and no control over television deals.

Yes, I know this is a sports board, and not a political board ,but in case you are not aware of it ,the NCAA has about as much power as do the Republicans in either house of Congress.
