Do you feel in any way sorry for the Ole Miss player?

Nov 28, 2019, 11:10 PM

I'm sure he regrets what he did. I'm sure he feels bad for what his actions caused.

But, I feel no sorrow for him. I feel a tremendous sorrow for his teammates and the coaching staff. They didn't deserve what they got. They came back agianst huge adversity and did everything necessary to send the game into overtime. And, it was taken away from them - not because of anything they did, not because of anything MS ST did, not because of anything the refs did. But, because of what one of their own did.

Well, to be fair

It also was taken away from them because their kicker missed the equivalent of a 34 yard FG.

But yeah, no real sympathy for the receiver at all.

I feel for the kicker , mostly . There’s something very damaging to the psyche to be put under that pressure unnecessarily .

No. He gets to own that idiotic move for a year. It’s the 12th game of the season, maybe they shoulda spent a couple more minutes talking about things like discipline, personal responsibility or consequences for your actions at some point during the preceding 11 months?

This is the SEC where it just means more.

No

Someone as selfish as that, who obviously premeditated it

Nov 29, 2019, 6:47 AM

(“If I score, I’m gonna do that dog pee thing that somebody had done before”), and then ACTUALLY DOES IT .....

Probably doesn’t have the smarts or common sense or internal guidance that would burden themselves with the notion that “Hey - I caused us to lose”.

That person would instead chose the “Our idiot kicker can’t even make a 34 yard field goal”.

Think about that clown’s parents and family. Kid is going to school to get a free education and become a man. He acts like a 5 year old with potty humor in front of thousands of people and now millions of college football fans will mock him and his school and everything about Mississippi ...

Nevermind - His parents probably thought it was cool ......

No - I do not feel anything close to sorry for him.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

No sympathy at all.

Hopefully he learned a lesson about the downsides of selfishness.

A bit, but not for his behavior.

Nov 29, 2019, 7:43 AM

Young people need leaders/mentors/coaches/etc. in their lives to develop them. He clearly does not have that.

And he called a fair catch after he caught the call. I’ve watched more football than I care to admit and I’ve never seen that. At least that was original, but the dog pee thing is played.

I feel sorry for his teammates and their fans.

Nov 29, 2019, 8:03 AM

That dumbask kept them from going to overtime and getting a shot at a bowl game this season.

I thought they were 4-7 and trying to spoil it for MSU. Either way he was a big dummy.
