Clemson's Defense and In-game Adjustments

Dec 2, 2018, 9:34 PM

Clemson, especially on the defensive side of the ball, is one of the best team's in the country at making in game adjustments. We saw this most recently when Pitt started running the ball. The Tigers made a few adjustments and shut down their running game before it really got started. Other examples include the second half against Syracuse, the Duke game, the second half of the national championship game that we won. I think this is one of the more unheralded aspects of these Clemson teams. What are your thoughts on this?

Jimmy green beans is awesome. The only time we have seemed to be vulnerable is either when teams put in formations they haven't used all year(the kitchen sink) or playing up tempo with a quick snap. Our defense is looking for the play call from the side lines and the ball is snapped before we are set. I expect we will get everyone on the same page( especially the safeties) in practices leading up to the cfp
