It is really going to be interesting to see how No. 5 improves from this first game. Obviously he will work with the first team all week and the coaches now have some film to study and go over with DJ. I expect the play book will be a little bigger also. It was rather small today I think. DJ had some strong throws that were high in today’s game but he appeared to me to be throwing off his back foot so that likely will be addressed. The only disappointing thing about today’s performance was the goal line play that resulted in a fumble return. That was very un Clemson like! I thought that he would keep the ball on that last play but with No 9 in the backfield it’s not wrong to rely on him. The run into the end zone in the next series was a super play by DJ. ND game can’t get here quickly enough.
