Could Notre Dame jump us?

The committee has stated that they look at common opponents. Notre Dame is handling Syracuse while we struggled.

No. They will not surpass Clemson. Syracuse has three turnovers, and they lost their QB in the 1st Quarter. Not even remotely the same type of game or situation Clemson faced at the end of September. I’m disappointed in Syracuse’s performance because I think they are way better than they are playing, but they are having “one of those days” today, and it is a bad day to have it.

If Tua gets hurt early and UGA somehow scrapes by Bama in SEC championship game, then #2 moves to #1. And #3 moves to #2. And UGA moves to #3 and Bama moves to #4.
Look for crappy Ohio St to mess with Michigan and win or lose close.
So I would prefer to play #3 UGA the #4 Bama and give Saban 4+ weeks to prepare. Rather play Saban in finals after they beat #1 ND and only have one week to prepare.

The real question is; who cares? 1-4 = exact same thing. To be the best you have to beat the best and anywhere 1-4 accomplishes that.

They shouldn't based on the eye test. They look pretty slow to me overall and literally have played a Syracuse team that has had nothing go right. But they could.
Will they? IDK.
