In my opinion, there are decisions he has made all year that are not good fundamental baseball. Example, I have seen him several times this year with runners on first and second and no one out, he electes not to bunt. To me, that is almost always to be done. I have no idea why he pulled Bostic. He was pitching well.

At times, yes. But there have been times he hasnt because they may pitch around the next guy to get to a slumping hitter. Not to mention if we have 2 on and 0 outs, we need to play for a big inning. It's not like we have a team ERA of 3.00.

@swvatiger - which of the other 13 ACC head baseball coaches who did not just win the conference championship would you prefer to have over Coach Monte Lee?
Keep in mind that many of these 13 coaches had better talent to work with and none of them have less tenure than Lee does with his current school.
So, I ask you...who would you trade Lee for?

Seems like this idiot clearly had an opinion, but lacked common sense! He admits he has "no idea" about why CML pulled Bostic, but thinks he seemingly otherwise has a clear vision regarding in game coaching. Heck it was quite refreshing to hear Lee readily admit to mistakes, especially on this level. We all could learn a lesson on several levels out of what not say in a post without thinking first!

He pulled him because the kid was up to 66 pitches through for relief any boots… And we need all hands on deck for the regional, super regionals, and hopefully the CWS. So basically: he was doing his job. He was taking care of his kids. He was being a coach.

My only complaint is I feel like we maybe try to steal too much. Like Eli White they said was like 23/28 or something which still isn't really a great percentage and he's our best runner. Sabermetrically isn't on the side of stealing, and it's also generally not on the side of giving away free outs because that's stupid. (Exception being something like bottom of the ninth and you need one run and have a lead off batter in first and want to get him around)
