this caught my eye....

May 1, 2020, 2:23 PM

"One of the beauties of college football is the unwieldiness of it all. It features big state schools, small private ones, religious institutions and military academies. It’s played in big cities and on windswept plains, in 43 states." (Yahoo article)

There is a state in which no college football is played? That caught me by surprise. I assumed that even places like Maine and Alaska fielded some NAIA type programs. What 7 states do not have college football, or am I just not reading that sentence correctly?

"There are nine states without FBS teams: Alaska, Delaware, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Vermont."
