Discussion around security this week has focused on passouts

at halftime but I would think the area that would be impacted most if you completed a security review would be parking. It would seem there would be a great danger in having cars parked next to the stadium vs people leaving and having to pass through security two times.

we haven't seen an Al Qaeda type attack at a college or highschool level football game?? it'd be way to easy to access our tailgating or even get close to the rock with a van or truck full of bad things.
it's a security nightmare that can't be overcomed.

It can be overcome. Minimum distance between cars and stadium. You set up road blocks. Pretty easy fix. Now if your talking about someone blowing up the tailgate spot before the game then yea.......not much you can do.

A guy with a backpack with thousands of people sitting next to him or a car parked 200 feet away from the stadium. In most cases those cars parked that close to the stadium are big time donors who are on a first name basis at the CUAD.
I don't agree with this at all. The biggest security threat is passouts. I have walked out and brought back in a backpack before (a pretty big back with my camera, food, and lots of other stuff) and not one single person checked. The police are usually on hand for the beginning of the game, but come time to reenter they are either not there or just 1 guy for 5 gates.
Love passouts, love grabbing a beer at halftime.........but your fooling yourself if you don't think its a security issue

crowd is. Gotta be one of the worst in the country. The 1st 2 drives of the 3rd quarter are pivitol times.
