Is Chad Becoming as Predictible as Rob Spnece?
Oct 27, 2013, 2:58 PM

I remember a different #10 running Rob Spence's "bubble screening" U offense into the ground.....I think most of us are starting to be able to anticipate a lot of what is being called by Chad....
I love Chad and his offense, but if you are the highest paid OC in the nation.....certain levels of expectation come with that burden......

Since it's Sunday, I'll say "Amen" to that brother.

We roll up over 500 yards of offense and score 40 points and you are comparing this offense to Rob Spences. Come on Spence couldn't generate that kind of O on his best day. Yea we have had some hiccups and flat out breakdowns in the redzone, but they are personal issues. We are killing ourselves. There is nothing wrong with the scheme just the execution.

Yeah, a huge difference running a bubble screen to Sammy for 20 yards and Bowden calling 3 in a row on a series (which he did multiple times) for 8 yds and a punt.

The scheme is fine, but some of the play calling and timing is bad. Inside the 20 teams are stacking the box and bringing extra guys. We can't run these play action roll out option routes. Tajh is not good at making decisions under pressure and our OL can't block 4, much less 6.

Yes I think so. Also, they seem to be slower running plays. I am only speaking to what I see game to game.
Please don't get me wrong, I think Morris is a great coach.

There's no comparison between the two. Look at what Morris has done since he came to clemson.

It is rather obvious that we can't run the tailback inside when we get inside the 10 yard line, but CM apparently doesn't realize it. We need to pass a few times on first down in the red zone;then,we may be able to run. As is,we keep trying and failing. Also,we attempt almost no downfield passes over the middle. CM is an offensive genius, but he is way"off his game" right now. If things don't change we are in deep stuff going forward.

the flanker screen or inside dive.
Just hope its not the SCjr db's who jump it for the pick 6.....cause it's coming , if we run it 25 times a game , like we did Saturday.

play tighter to jump that route, and then with sammy's (that's who most of those passes went to) and tajh's experience they would both know to extend the route, using his (s.w's) speed and moves, to get by said corner for a long gain.

DB is 10 yards off. Spence would call them when you had a Db and a safety waiting to clobber our reciever. The dive is great, too. Keeps the linebackers at home. It's not about being fancy, it's about favorable matchups.

That's totally different from the type of predictability we used to have under former OC's.

Is Chad So Good That He can't be Critisized?
Oct 27, 2013, 7:52 PM

Look...as I said...I am a big Chad Fan....in fact, if Dabo leaves I would want him to be head coach...
But if you put anyone on such a high pedestal that they cannot take criticism then that will cost you down the road....
It is fair to question play calling when a trend starts occurring after 3 straight games...I am sorry I took the homer glasses off and dared to question some things...
But this is Tnet

500 yards dude. FIVE HUNDRED!
Tajh couldn't run in the read-option due to trying to save the knee.
Maybe you'd be a better fan of basketball.

Did you get that?....21 players out...it was 9-7 with 14 seconds left in the 2nd before we scored a TD...
Do you think we would have won that same game against the Coots?
I am sorry if that gets your panties in a wad but it is a fair question
