hot water heater.....

Attache

FYI - Hot water is about 20 degrees hotter after doing this. Never changed any settings. Never been flushed/serviced, and it has been in use since we purchased the house new in 2012.

Off to shower up for gluttony.....with inlaws. Wish me well.

From what they say bluish water is normal.

Also found out does not have to be done yearly. All depends on how hard your water is. If you have soft water you can go 3 to 4 years. Will probably do mine every two years. If you have hard water you really need to do it yearly.

That gas line looks pretty sketchy.

Nov 23, 2017, 3:18 PM

Oh well it's just gas, what's the worst that could happen?

Its an exterior unit. No need to vent outside. This is right way to install.

Dude turn gas valve to "ON" position. That thing works wonders when gas flows to it
