new lab pup Kate's first day of school pic.

This place does doggie day care w/ a lil training and activities, also all kinds of training classes, testing, and licensing. For the socializing and a break for us, we're putting her in day care 1 day a week for a while. Got a FREE bandana.

She's working out great so far, just have to pay attention to chewing on stuff. But she hasn't ruint nothing yet.

You going to turn her into a therapy dog? I feel like you

Sep 24, 2020, 8:14 AM

mentioned that previously. That is something my wife would absolutely love to do but not right now.

Yep. Mrs No loves dog training classes and therapy work.

Our yellow lab Jack who died suddenly last yr was licensed for nursing home visits, and was famous at the local one. For many residents, Jack was their only visitor. But there’s all sorts of therapy opportunities. For Mrs No, the reward from helping people outweighs seeing their unfortunate circumstances up close.

Before kids, we took our two Goldens into nursing homes

around Clemson. There was some group there we were part of briefly, but they usually went on like Tuesday mornings or some crap like that when we had class. We joined on the occasional evening or weekend visits. Watching those old blue haired ladies light up when the dogs came was awesome.
