What was the single biggest reason for Stoudt's

Dec 30, 2014, 12:49 PM

improvement and resulting success in the bowl?

The single biggest reason for Stoudt's improved performance was:    [Results]

He finally had a chance to rest his shoulder and let injuries heal.
Scott/Elliot gameplan and playcalling.
Brandon Streeter as QB coach.
Can't pick just one, all were very important.

my order of his improvement

Dec 30, 2014, 12:53 PM

time to rest/heal
one-on-one QB coach
knowing it's HIS job no matter what happens

that said, the staff did a heck of a job the last 2 games with game plans. Last night I do not remember one play where I said "what's that"

credit Dabo once again.

I think that Streeter was very important to his success last night, but all answers fit....

another big difference as Ed hated to say -we never took our foot off the petal. Big difference over CM's playing not to lose or being scared we couldn't do it. Looks like they told Cole we are behind you turn it loose.

This is what I noticed too. No way Chad lets Cole throw to the endzone when we're up by 2 or 3 scores. Kudos to Elliot and co for trusting him.

You can't help but wonder if he was uncomfortable with chad

or just not built to run the gameplan chad wanted him to run. But the biggest thing is he got his confidence back and got himself in a rythm and the offensive coordinators put him in that position. He did much more than they asked of him and the one play to sum his play up best was the touchdown to germone hopper which was all cole stoudt, that was elite, most qbs in the country would not have made that happen but cole stoudt did.

I believe it was a lot of factors. Rest and healing. Good game planning & calling. Trusting him. Restoration of his confidence. And give Cole some credit as well.

He knew this was his last game and he really wanted to prove some naysayers wrong. He really wanted his last game to be something special. He was relaxed and confident and had a "play loose" mentality and it certainly was evident last night. So happy for him!
