liquor in carryon luggage.

so I think I read on here that you can carry on mini bottles of liquor, unopened of course, as part of your quart-sized bag of gels and liquids. Right?
But if I wanted to carryon a fifth of unopened bourbon, no way, right?

but the fifth would just be to avoid a stop at a liquor store in Phoenix. The minis would be held in reserve for flight agonies, or late arrivals where I'd just like a lil sip upon finally arriving at the hotel, or if I never drank them, there's a possibility they'd go in the stadium.

but didn't crack it til last night. It's a nice little sipper. Will put some hair on your chest at 110 proof, so a splash of water might tame it a wee bit.

The smile you get from the security guy when he sees the liquids is great.
Grab a fountain drink at airport restaurant and pour a stiff one. Walk around and sip it.
Repeat before boarding.
Refill incognito while in flight and just get a Coke from beverage service to top it off.

Just don't let the pilots have one. Give the flight attendants two each.
And for god's sake, consume them all before landing in Arizona.
I know. I'm no help at all.

go to the store and buy some 3.5 oz travel bottles. They usually come in 4 packs.
I put Jack in for afternoon or night flights and vodka for morning.
