My NEWEST conspiracy theory: Refs in review booth were

Nov 9, 2020, 10:24 AM

required to conduct a review on ANY possible call that they could, in order for the network to run more commercials. Notre Dame Athletic Dept was in on it, as they get to split any extra commercial ad revenue 50:50 with NBC.

Pretty sure it’s true, too, because I’ve also seen this in a meme posted on facebook.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

What I f didn’t understand was the long replay to review a Tiger player scoring or not scoring on a goal line tackle and a few minutes the same kind of play occurred with a ND player scoring and there was no replay. I actually thought he was down before crossing the goal line. Remember this play.

My favorite (sarcastically) comparison of reviews was that it took them approximately 15 seconds to determine that the 50 yard diving catch didn't have enough evidence to change (called stands and not confirmed) but it took them 5 full minutes to see that the ND tight end clearly had 2 feet in bounds on a 3 yard catch.

I always appreciate when the officials have a good feel for the importance of the play under review (SARCASM!!!!!!!)
