I like David Pollack (for the most part) but for him to say

Dec 3, 2017, 9:17 PM

our running game is off from where it was last year is insane to me. I like Wayne Gallman, but I'll take our backfield now any day! Where does he get that from?

Was wondering that myself; he just kinda made a fool of himself could tell by the rest of their faces

He may be thinking of 2015. I think statistically we were better this year than last.

It was off against Miami because the went all out to stop KB from running but on the year we average like 50 yards more rushing a game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i agree but Wayne was great in blitz pick up. Running

We had only like 70 yards rushing against Miami.

Is why we threw so much- the 20yd fumble and sacks affected the overall total cut ETN avg 4.0 Feaster 5.5 and Choice 3.0 on minimal carries each against one of the top 2 fronts we've played. Each of those guys had a td rushing which limits your yards on those plays-which makes a difference when you each only get 4-7 carries and lot of choices carries were short yardage plays. The 1st team was out in the 4th. My point is I wouldn't read much at all into that 74 yd #.

The running game of Feast and ETN > Gallman but

Dec 3, 2017, 9:42 PM

we miss his pass pro quite a bit.

We had a drop-off at TE, WR1, and QB.

We improved at RB, WR2, and OL.

None of us really know how good our running game is

because we just let four different backs run round robin during a game.

We have know idea what it would be like to have ETN or Feaster play an entire game.

We might even be #1! Whoops!***

4 will always be better than 1.

It’s simple.

The rotation keeps the backs from getting dinged up. Also if we lose a back to injury there a three with plenty of playing time. I did not like the rotation at first. After watching the Auburn vs UGA game, it was obvious Auburn had no faith in the backup.

Has he started smoking crack rock?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The only way you could argue that is we don't have that

Dec 3, 2017, 11:03 PM

one RB that we can count on for everything.

Gallman was special like that. He could get hard yards, he could catch, he could block.

But other than that, we are better all the way around.

Statistically, we are on pace to rack up 500 more yards than we did last year on the ground.

We have multiple quality options in case of one having a bad day or getting injured.

We have unbelievable break away speed.

We have two great running threats on the field at any one time thanks to KB.

I agree. Pollack's great, but that's a bad take.

not sure what’s the issue, we play on what game

wayne was perfect for ddub, and this backfield is perfect for kb. i like it - a lot

RB by committee is a growing trend

Dec 4, 2017, 10:34 AM

We've seen it really take hold in the NFL. Running backs take such a beating that a regular rotation of backs makes a lot of sense if you can do it.

Clemson is fortunate enough to have 4 excellent backs can share the load. I think that our running game is improved this year since we're not so reliant on one feature back.

He said he loved our backs (ETN particularly) when ...

Dec 4, 2017, 10:40 AM

... they had the ball.

He just said they couldn't pass protect at all.

What's that got to do with the running atack per se?

Well, mainly it tips off the dfense when ETN is in the game that he is probably gettig the ball rather than pass blocking to give us time to get a WR open way down field.

Makes us more one-dimensional.

Miami shut down our rushing attack. So I'm kind of
