Update on House saga part 3. Battle of the 50%

We have had our house "on the market" if you will for 24 hours. In that time, I have 2 people coming to do a walkthrough. 2 people have asked if we would rent it. One asked if we would do owner financing. And one asked about rent to own.

has 3 bedrooms which we need now that the kids are older. Gas water heater, Better location. And half off a house. If I can get a good profit from the sale I can fix the bathroom situation.

the stats don't back up that statement.
Home sell prices are normally higher when you involve a realtor and normally by more than the commission amount.
Realtor will help you price it...tell you what to do to sell it...and bring buyers. And, in my opinion, one thing that a lot of people overlook, it takes you out of the direct dealings with the buyer. That can be pretty important in a negotiation.

I did a lot of fact finding before selling my last 2 houses and also looked at a lot of folks trying to sell their homes themselves in my area. The sell-by-owner tended to over-price their houses relative to the shape it was in and also not do what they needed to do to get their houses ready for market.

about smudges on the walls, dust on the baseboards, and if there was ANY dirt anywhere. Now people selling them barely leave for the showing. Last one I went in had food still cooking.
