Good Times

Jan 4, 2021, 5:52 PM

Yes it sucked thar we lost to 1-4-Ohio State but I was born in 1959 and have been a CU fan my whole life. Grew up in Powdersville, played football at Wren and went to most every Clemson home game and many away games before moving away back in 84. I remember Clemson losing so many games they should have won and was thrilled if they got to a bowl game. Went to the 1977 Gator bowl and saw Pitt and Matt Cavanaugh pick Clemson a part. The only good thing about that trip was in JAX we went through a drive through that you could order cocktails at, how crazy was that, also I was only 17. My point is that we are very lucky to have a team and coaching staff like we currently have. Also, very lucky that the President Clements stayed at Clemson and didn’t take the head job at the ACC. He is very, very good for Clemson sports. This football program is set up for success from the bottom up so. Dabo does it the right way and we as fans are extremely lucky and need to relish what we have!

I concur!
Very fortunate. A great moment in time indeed for Clemson football.
This is also why when we're winning I'm not ever going to go overboard with not being proud about it. Because I remember those times when we would lose to teams with less talent. Therefore I am very grateful for this time. And everyone else should be too!

Good post nga.
We need to be reminded how life once was for us who have been loyal fans for fifty plus years.
Believe it or not, the attitude of rival fans here in the ole North State has changed a great deal in the last few years too.
And it didn’t just happen. The leadership at Clemson has helped awaken a lot of doubters. For that reason I seriously urge you to always act like a Clemson man ....,.. always remember the country gentleman. An icon I personally would like to see return to the Clemson sidelines.
