Anyone know why martinis are made with Vodka not Gin?

You are correct and Smirnoff had a bottle in the movie which they paid to have in the movie. I am not a Smirnoff fan by any mean but have seen their plant located outside of Chicago. I rode past it on my way from Chicago to Racine Wisconsin some 25 yrs ago. I was on my way to Racine valve company for a little project.
