be careful with extrapolating one game too far

Oct 20, 2013, 11:42 AM

We lost by a ton, and it was a horrible loss. However, it doesn't mean that none of our players could start for fsu or that they are 30 plus points better than us as a team (last night, sure). For example, I submit Florida's 1996 title and Alabama's 2011 title. Was FSU really 32 points worse than Florida when fsu had beat them in the last regular season game? Was LSU really 21 points worse than Alabama after beating them on the road earlier in the year? Sometimes, everything goes wrong for you and right for the other team. We could have and should have played better. I'm still ticked about the whole performance, but I wish we could play them again. Unfortunately, in college football, you usually only get one shot, and we shot duds. I'm not crying over spilled milk; we lost, but we don't need to be chicken littles either. BTW, I often look at the negative side but am trying to be somewhat positive here. Crappy and embarrassing loss? Yep. Incapable of playing high-quality football? Nope. Now, let's hope we rebound properly.

Another bright spot: No more talk about Alabama trying to lure away Dabo Swinney. And, is the Chad really that hot a commodity anymore?
