anyone remember Rodney Williams... ?

Jan 16, 2013, 7:00 PM

I saw his name somwhere the other day and had forgotten about him. wasn't he a late 70's player ? Maybe from Spartanburg ?

No that was Fuller I guess.

I don't remember, confused.

(I know I can look it up, but what fun would that be ?)

Rodney is from Irmo, SC and played in the mid to late 80's.

he beat Oklahoma, Penn State and Stanford in bowls

Jan 16, 2013, 7:08 PM

Stanford was a strange one. All CU first half 28 pts as I recall. All Stanford the sec half 24 or 27 pts. As if teams changed unis at half

Rodney was a fierce competitor during late 80s. Couldn't throw a spiral worth a ####, but I promise there wasn't a better option QB with less natural skills than Rodney.

Not remembering Rodney is akin to forgetting William Perry or Terry Allen.
