the sad reality is, if the new coach is anyone OTHER than Hugh Freeze, they are going to be unhappy with the hire. They are all about getting a "Big Name" hire who has already proven he can win in the SEC. All others need not apply.

So, they will miss out again on making a good hire. The Chicken Curse lives. :)

Getting Freeze will definitely have the NCAA and or SEC camp in their backyard and find any little thing to hang them on. I don't think the SEC commish likes that guy at all. They better be careful..

to hire him as an assistant following his problems at Ole P!ss. Don't know if Freeze has laundered enough money yet through Liberty to take the seal off that file.

I like how they talk like they can just hire anyone, talking about Urban Meyer.....what makes them think someone like that would even want to go there! They are what they are and the type of players they recruit...you can tell they are about themselves. Shi Smith is an excellent talent, but looking at his attitude after every play, you can just tell they aren't team guys. It summed it up when he got a personal foul penalty after a TD and not a single player or coach got in his face about it. Pathetic

at Ole Miss was based largely if not entirely on rampant cheating by providing impermissible benefits like cars, cash, loans, and hookers to players and recruits.
