Can we just skip the formalities of the November election?

Mar 8, 2020, 9:54 AM

We already know who is going to win it due to one side making themselves look like absolute idiots the past 4 years.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"Absolute idiots" the last 4 months... T-Rump is clueless.***

I am a liberal, but I agree with you. There is a large faction of the the Dem party that is clueless. They can't get out of their own way.

Depends upon how bad the COVID-19 is still hitting, maybe it gets postponed until infections are stable.

While I am a fiscal conservative I will be voting for Biden if he chooses a sane running mate. If he goes left wing loon I'll be forced to vote Trump.

Trump is not in any shape or form a fiscal Republican and panders to a base of folks tied to a very small number of core issues.

I think Biden has a 50% chance of winning. We don't know who will win.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Biden is losing his mind.

Mar 8, 2020, 10:57 AM

Medically.

It is sad as I watched my mother in law suffer.

Re: Biden is losing his mind.

Mar 8, 2020, 12:14 PM

I agree, but Trump is a nutcase, so that gives Biden a great shot. Does Trump still think windmills cause cancer, that Mexico will pay for our wall, that Greenland is for sale, that nukes can stop hurricanes, that Obama is a secret Muslim from Kenya, that Coronavirus is a hoax, and that Climate Change is a hoax invented by the Chinese? Trump is moron. I will take a senile Biden.

I don't hate Trump. I have never hated anyone. Anyway, it would have been the same with or without him. There were more jobs created in Obama's last 3 years than Trump's first 3 years. The stock market has been basically flat for year. Manufacturing is at a 10 year low. He does have a good jobs report. That's all he has. He is a moron. The next 9 months will be a mess. The only good things he has done is what he has done with the border and immigration.

DJIA is almost flat over the last 12 months. Of course it has had crazy up and downs. Also, for the last 6 months is actually down.

DJIA is at 25, 864
12 months ago it was 25,450

What is that 1.5% approx in a 12 months?

Those are the facts. Its down from where it was 6 months ago too.

Re: You may hate him but he has this country

Mar 8, 2020, 4:08 PM

Also, the S&P 500 is down for the last 6months and relatively flat for the year too.

The S&P 500 was 2,791 a year ago.
The S&P 500 is at 2, 972 now.

What is that for a year?

Yes it was. It is not anymore. All those potential profits are gone. There is nothing to debate. If you invested in a S&P index fund you are not doing really well now from a year ago. I am not blaming Trump. I am just giving you the bottom line.

Only 80 companies on the S&P 500 pay dividends. Anyway, we are spinning our wheels. This will be a rough year for the market. Trump is going to have to be a leader. It's easy to govern with a hot stock market. He will need to show some character and lead. The next couple years will be challenging I would think.

I think Trump is an awful human being, BUT I am not 100% sold he isn't the better option. If he wins I won't be bummed. I think both options will be bad. I cringe thinking about a State of Union address by Biden. You add that to a weak economy and I would almost prefer Trump being for that mess that is coming. He can own it.

How bad trump sucks, but EVERYONE knows the economy has rocked under him. Go ahead and try to lie to yourself, but that won't change what people feel personally.

I get it, y'all are raged and have gone over the deep end cause nothing you've tried has worked and he doesn't bow down to the insane daily outrages. Finally a pub that fights back instead of cower at the mob

Nobody is raged. Youre just a nutace is borderline obsessed with your cult leader. You seem very feminine the way you worship another man so much. Yes the economy has been good under him. Its not moving forward. Just giving you the heads up. We are at 11 years straight of economic expansion. Its coming to an end under Trump. It's not his fault though. Those are the facts though.

It was government jobs that Obama created. If you also look deeper into it, Under the Obama administration part time employment sky rocketed. The reason being is because Obama’s healthcare laws gave huge company’s a loophole so that they didn’t have to pay benefits to their employees. They quit hiring full time employees and just brought in part timers. Try again!

8 years ago I was on the verge of bankruptcy

Mar 8, 2020, 2:43 PM [ in reply to You may hate him but he has this country ]

I'm still not sure how I made it through. 4 years ago my business was back to making a profit and retiring with no debt seemed possible.

The last three years have been my most profitable years in 24 years owning an engineering company. I didn't suddenly figure out how to engineer, the economy has been booming and people are building everywhere.

I will never be on the verge of bankruptcy again. I'm out of debt except for mortgage debt. If I had to retire today, I could. My kids are all out of college except for the last one that graduates in May. I've paid off debt and now save save save.

I know that there are a lot of people that would like to take my profits and spread them out to other people to make their life better, but I guarantee none of those people have ever had to make a payroll with no money in the bank but needing to keep employees, because without them there is no money in the future. I once had 3 out of 4 years with negative income. Zero paycheck...Everything I owned was collateral for business loans.

A strong economy is important to me.

Forgot to add that when the economy does tank, it won't be Trump's fault. It's just the world's circumstances and timing.

I’m watching the signals...

She’s increased her public presence.
- making the rounds on TV
- just did a special on HULU channel
- attacking the First Lady on twitter (a first)
- Bill now issuing an official apology to Monika Lewinsky (loud laughter).

Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see they’re preparing for public life again.
