And fellows, I made it 77 years and have not had to use my knowledge of Art Appreciation. Almost fail to graduate from College over that course.

I still have my slide rule but I switched to a Texas Instruments calculated long about my sophomore year.

Kueffel and Esser Log Log Duplex Decitrig Side Rule (Don't ask why I still remember the model number nearly 50 years later, it's one of those things that is permanently etched in the memory, evidently.)

Then, the very next semester, it became "ok" to use the suddenly available electronical calculator thingys.

The first widely marketed one (other than Hewlett-Packards, which were like GOLD) was the Texas Instruments TI-10. All it would do is Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Squares, and Square Roots. That's IT. ~$150. Today you can get a pocket calculator with FAR more computing capacity than the Apollo Space Program computers had for around $5 to $10. And a basic one that does what the TI-10 would do is FREE on the interwebs. :(

and again my Fr. year at Clemson.

I sure do wish those new fangled graphing calculators had been around back then.

It definitely would have made life a whole lot easier than having to memorizing all of those dang formulas.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

My granddaughter had a poster on her bedroom door which said, “Remind me again how algebra will help me in later life”, Shw went to Edinburgh University, Scotland and majored in Arabic and Farsi. Her sister majored in Astro Physics and is studying Aeronautical Engineering in graduate school. Two sisters at the opposite end of the math spectrum.
