Noticed a lot of coots are celebrating the end of the BCS

Jan 6, 2014, 2:24 PM

era-since there was pretty much no chance of them ever getting a BCS bid over one of their big brothers.

I predict there won't be any chance of them ever making a 4 team playoff either. I think we have a much better shot of winning the ACC and making the cut. No way they get past the top teams from the west in a SEC championship game; they probably won't ever win the east again either.

Most coot fans I have spoke to (slowly) honestly think that all 4 playoff spots will go to the SEC each year, SMH

it might happen one time and if it does, look for all the other conferences to sever ties with the NCAA and the SEC can become the ESPN NCAA Conference.

1. wont ever happen, 2. if it did happen the Coots would not

be 1 of the 4.

South Carolina wouldn't have been helped this year

They had a couple of good wins, but if you lose to Tennessee you aren't getting BCS or playoff spots. I don't know what they think they had to complain about this year.

They would have been picked above us. Especially since our

loss to them was the last game of the season. If our loss to them occurred early, I could maybe see a scenario where we would have been picked above them.

Except neither team was going to be in the top 4***

More happy about the end of the two-teams per conference limit in the major bowls.

Which would have kept Clemson out of both their orange bowl.

Yes- begin the era of the BSC- Bowl Season Championship

Jan 6, 2014, 4:42 PM

Started by Steve Spurrier but I am sure they will find a way of losing eventually.

well, guess I guess I'll miss the BCS because I got to see Bama get destroyed

Jan 6, 2014, 4:59 PM

If the playoffs had started this season, I assume they'd have made it in. And then Oklahoma wouldn't have been able to provide me with that entertaining Sugar Bowl. Or even last seasons Sugar Bowl when U of L took out Flurda. I'm not saying the BCS was great. I just enjoyed some of the matchups.

Especially the Orange Bowl....
