No excuses

Nov 8, 2020, 8:38 AM

Last night's game was about 2 really good teams slugging it out over 2 overtimes. The outcome was not what we wanted but many things were learned. The game on offense was not about Trevor being out because DJ had over 400 passing. It was not about play calling, it was about a huge difference in the ability of our line to block. When is the last time Clemson only had 34 yards rushing?

Let's be honest, Notre Dame's offense did what it had to do because Book was a master of the game. He only had 300 yards passing but his ability to not be sacked determined the game. Our defense has not been the typical Clemson one we have been used to. Yes the lose of so many players to injury hurt.

Last night Notre Dame was the better team. We have to get better if we want to have a rematch. Whether the ACC gets a 1 loss team in the Playoffs really depends on what other teams that play better schedules do more than what we do.

Trump lost, we lost but the sun is out this morning.

I still say that our biggest loss was Coach Jeff Scott on offense.
