Whitehurst was a lot of fun to watch when he played

Oct 3, 2019, 5:12 PM

for the Tigers. 4-0 record against the coots and the epic 63-17 game also make him one of my favorite Tigers.

Well, not so much for the dirtpeckers.

It’s probably hard to find a good golf course in Alaska.

That was a good listen...

Listened while watching Los Bravos... ;) Interesting comments on Dabo...affirmed what's been heard through the years.

Thanks, Whitehurst74... be sure to love your life, be true and reasonable, always treat people kindly and fairly, and always remember those seasonal Spring Times in Clemson - nothing quite like it on earth.

Go Tigers!!!

One of my all-time favorite Tigers and threw a Beautiful deep ball.

Didn't he lose to Huskers at Gator in Jan 2009?

Oct 3, 2019, 11:02 PM

Last series Threw a TD strike to C J that was knocked out of his hand as he came down..got sacked & then pass knocked down by that giant killing LB..and then threw it away.

Saying, Could have won in last minute if he was so great!

Cullen Harper. I was there for that one. It was a frustrating game.

And I remember the Nebraska fans yelling "Suh!" over and over again. Didn't know a Ndamukong thing about him till then.

He had the dream NFL career. Get drafted as a developmental QB behind a relatively young Hall of Famer that rarely misses any games. All you have to do is be solid in practice, and you'll be employed for a decade and never have to deal with all the pressure and outside BS that starting QBs have.

Yep, and make a lot of money and staying

For those of you interested, Larry William's podcast interview with Charlie Whitehurst this week was really, really good. I was an hour well spent. Great insight into his love of football, pro career, time at Clemson and thoughts on the current team and TL. Very interesting dude.

Larry does a lot of very good interviews.

He wasn’t the most mobile QB but didn’t he break a long one against someone ? Maybe Miami if I recall? That and his TD run against the Coots . Wasn’t Woody Dantzler like but was still pretty lol

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Remember when Charlie opened a can of whoop a$$

on Phil Fulmer and the Vols at the Peach Bowl. I was at that game cheering on the Tigers to victory. I believe it was the game that broke the camel's back and resulted in TN fans and administration running Phil out of TN.

Lee Greenwood sang the Star Spangled Banner then pulled for Vols. After Tiger win, SocMan popped a Bud then another, etc. A good day!

Charlie Whitehurst’s throws were a thing of beauty to watch especially when he opened up the SC. He threw some great passes in that game in DV. We had Airese Curry, Ben Hall, and how about the Great Tony Elliott our OC now. Derrick Hamilton and Reggie Merriweather were on that team too. Charlie W. Set a passing record that night I believe. Man we came out smoking with 21 points in the 1st quarter. I think Currie scored 1st on a CW pass.

I think David Hood played on that team.

The coots looked like that deer with headlights in his eyes.
