What is the hard data and statistics that the BLM

Sep 13, 2020, 8:55 AM

movement is based off of and what is the desired end goal in quantitative terms?

You do know you aren’t allowed

Sep 13, 2020, 9:23 AM

To ask those questions, right?

I just think the NBA felt they had no balls after the China situation

And now they have to rock extra hard with the BLM cause.

I think the NBA got the result they wanted with China and BLM.

This is the problem.

The data doesn’t support the problem or their “fix”.

The only policy in this country that is systematically racist is affirmative action.

If there were racist policies we would all fight them.

Furthermore- the BLM demands don’t match the “problems”

Nothing you said was right.

You see the problem, you just dont care about it.

I think the OP was asking for someone to point to the systemically racist problem with statistical data and perhaps we’ll all fight it together. Seems reasonable.

It’s kinda like my job. Someone calls and complains about an issue and as an analyst, I’m tasked with fixing the problem. I spend hours calling people, looking at the data on the computer, repeated testing...only to find out the problem wasn’t the system. The user logged in incorrectly.

It’s important to ask these questions and get the whole answer. Not a partial answer, not a ‘I think’ or ‘I feel’ answer...just indisputable, hard data. But even asking those questions are now an issue or God forbid ‘racist?’ I guess I’m employed by racists.

Tall,

You seem analytically minded. Can we agree that racism does not have to be promoted by the government or by law to exist ?

These are just a few of the many well-researched articles on systematic racial prejudice in hiring (& other) practices. I would argue that economic discrimination is the most widely damaging of a whole host of other discriminations.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, I’ll take a look at those articles.

Sep 13, 2020, 1:12 PM

I’m open minded. Some of you have given good reason to change my mind on some issues. I’ll get back with you...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree that racism exist.

Sep 13, 2020, 2:53 PM [ in reply to Re: Nothing you said was right. ]

Racism exists on some level in every race.

What specific demands has the BLM movement demanded that would alleviate non-policy based racism?

To add to what I said earlier- I’m not of the opinion that we should eliminate affirmative action as a whole, but it does have issues with the simple fact that it supersedes the existing merit based system.

I know I’m tired of the constant push of the idea that America is a deeply racist country and we need change. We can’t agree there is a problem... I’m open to it, but haven’t seen anything “systemic.” When we can agree on the problem, we can discuss a solution... but not until then. Especially when the solutions for racism are the same solutions to global warming.

The three racist systems list.

Planned Parenthood.

Public education.

Immigration.
