With no Spring practice, the quality of play will be lower

Sep 7, 2020, 10:52 AM

than we're used to, right?

I'm expecting to see players that are not at the tops of their games - and more penalties than usual.

im more worried usuc steals a game they wouldnt otherwise win

4 wins just seems so much better than 3

I’m thinking that finding that 3rd win will be tough for the coots this year.

Yes, nailed it, players will be off at first, some will be missing a sock, armbands, towels, pads or chin straps. Wake Forest will be offsides a lot with the crowd causing confusion in the backfield. I’m sure Clemson will have to many players in the WF backfield play after play. ETN will forget to get tackled and end up in the parking lot a bunch.

It’s going to be quite surprising how weird no fans will be. I wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson runs away with the game, expecting fans but then they realize they have no opposition. Look for Dabo to play everybody in an effort to slow down our offense and the scoreboard or WF might quit. We can’t show all our new wrinkles because we have a lot of conference games to go.

Let’s hang 82-24 on them again!

I’d said that. “ETN will forget to get tackled”. LOL

Not necessarily. Dabo in a recent interview said they had never had this much time with the players. Maybe the additional time in summer/fall will compensate for the spring. Also, he said they were having frequent virtual meetings during the spring.

Not really. These guys have been back for 3-4 months and it’s not like they’re learning how to play the game. They’ve done it their whole life and I expect the typical first game back but it won’t be a noticeable difference I wouldn’t think

We're gonna look like a well-oiled machine.

A really big, fast, mow-'em-down machine.

For our veteran team it shouldn't be an issue. Being "locked and loaded" at QB, RB and O-line gives us a huge advantage to start the season.

For college football overall, I agree product quality will likely be less than stellar the first couple of games. Teams with a lot of underclassmen starters are in deep trouble.

honestly we always tend to sputter no matter what
