and emotional commitments from Bowman and Capehart, it made me wonder. How many other great players out there were disappointed that they didn't get an offer? The Clemson brand is light years ahead of when I was in school in the 70's.

Excited about this year's class. Popped two buttons on my shirt yesterday swelling with pride.

Edgar McGee and Connie MAC ? (Indian from Rock Hill or Gaffney) signed. We also wanted Mike Fair. Connie did not last long. We basically recruited SC only. Dooley came along at GA and Kent Lawrence (Daniel High), Pat Roderick ((Greenville High) and Steve’s Greer ((Greer High School) all headed to Athens.
