With all due respect to Watson

I think it is a bit premature to all jump on the bandwagon and call for Stoudt's job. Stoudt's been biding his time for a while now, and I think he needs to get his chance. While Watson has definitely looked the hype while he was in game Stoudt has not done anything to warrant losing the job. Dudes looked good himself.
And to those calling the coaches idiots for "not being able to see the difference," thats absurd. The coaches have access to these players that we dont, and if they think Stoudt is best for the job then who are we to question them?

I hear you but it doesn't matter how long Stoudt waited...

You play the players who give you the best chance to win! If that's Cole then keep him as the starter. If it's not Cole, then start Deshaun. That goes for every single position on the field.

But I think that at this point it is still too early to say that Stoudt doesnt offer us that. Pulling his job before he's lost it doesnt seem right.
Nice TD by Watson by the way.

Given that SC State isn't a real good barometer

on which to base the decision, but all things being equal, isn't it clear who the best QB is on our team? I've seen enough, haven't you??
If we seriously want to compete for a victory against FSU, Watson needs to get the reps as a starter in practice next week.

Stoudt will start against FSU, that is his chance to shut everyone up.

I dont think theres any comparison...Watson is clearly the better of the two...this kinda reminds me of how loyal they were to parker when boyd should have been playing.

Stoudt is no Parker. He's a dang good QB who has been loyal to us for the past few years, so cant we give him our loyalty for a few games? Then reevaluate based on what we see after some time, not one game. At the moment pulling Stoudt seems disrespectful at best, and a knee jerk reaction to to GA loss.

I think that's why people are clamoring for DW.
Gives the mobility needed to mask OL issues somewhat.

Fla St. Was faced with the same problem last Yr. & you know how that turned out. It's to bad the coaches didn't see that last week, we might have been in the NAtional champion ship pic.

Stoudt's job. It's about putting the QB in there who gives us the best chance to beat quality competition. It's pretty clear to me who that guy is.
That said, I think we have a solid, dependable backup QB in Stoudt. It's a good QB situation. The OL will have to improve for us to be fully effective on offense.

True, but a lot of Watson's snaps have come in a starting role. His drives against Georgia looked clean as hell. Mentally, he's a rock. Physically he has everything we want.

I like Stoudt, I love Watson. Why? Watson makes our offense run the way it is meant to run. He makes our oline better, backs and wr better. The threat of the run option puts the defense in conflict.
Stoudt has the pressure of trying to be perfect because of limited mobility, and the lack of run threat.
Some of you believe Stoudt should be QB because it would be "unfair" not to let him start. He backed up Boyd, son of an nfl QB. He knows the offense, etc etc. if you didn't know these guys bio and just watched who would you think is better?
Let the offense open up. Unfortunately the way we ran the QB power at uga we might not have the luxury to choose if one of them gets hurt.
If we are going to win, or lose, let's do it with our best QB.
