How about inviting Navy to replace them?

Great idea! Along with the black knights of the Hudson! The conf would gain serious prestige...

Hair better in football than Duke & Wake who IMHO are part of reason ACC is held in such low regard in the football world

Big 10 is slummin' to take UMD and UNJ....

I really thought they were better than that. Rutgers, LOL really? We know that Maryland brings nothing to the plate (other than clownish uniforms).

THey know what they're dsoing. Getting two major markets

loaded with tv sets for their conference network, and severing the ACC footprint.

I actually think that might be the best option. Navy will

keep the contiguousness of the footprint, will keep the Maryland and D.C. market, as well as the national interest. Also, Notre Dame would be happy with that. If they ever joined in full they would have one of their must-play games already in conference. And the academics are obviously there.

The only problem is Navy has said they are going to join the Big East in a couple of years for football only I think. I'm not sure Navy wants to join a league like the ACC for basketball.

Please stop with the Navy talk. If we add them we will be more ofa laughingstock conference than we are now. I really believe Pitt and 'Cuse are going to get better and won't hurt. Navy would be a joke in football and worse everywhere else.
