that they would go to all virtual if state cases increased. This was when we were getting 500-600 cases per day. Now that we’re getting 4,000 cases each day, they say kids aren’t getting sick at school. There has to be a major money angle to this.

school #s are not rising like the state numbers overall.

The kids need school, but the teachers need to be safe.

Southern Baptist preschool. They never closed. Until last week. Half or more of the kids were missing, either from sick parents and quarantine, or kids getting sick. 4 kids in SIL class spread it to themselves (she thinks) as they had no other known exposure other than other kids in class, and only one showed any symptoms. Anyway, yeah, it's going around.

Money angle is this.......kids stay home, parents stay

home. If they can't work from home, it puts a massive strain on employment. That means less tax revenue.

We want kids in school, obviously, but the money side of it is keeping kids occupied while mom and dad work.

Get the vaccines to our schools! NOW

My son and others have struggled with this virtual hell of video education.
Later this month my son will be allowed on campus for the first time since the initial shut down last spring. However he will only be on campus 4 days per month. Not nearly long enough. He's been an A student until the shutdown. Remote learning has failed. It's failing our nation.

with symptoms... class cancelled for 10 days.

Got to keep the rascal all week ... home virtual schooling is a #####. Grandma was a teacher many years ago and handled most of it. I took care of PE, mostly basketball and bike riding with a few hikes in the woods.
