Why all the bubble screens?

Sep 29, 2019, 12:03 PM

Not questioning this staff but wondering what some of you football gurus think of why we've been running it so much this year when it really hasn't been successful. Is it to try and set up the downfield passing game? To keep the defense playing sideline to sideline? Tia.

Routine, careless, no look.

I hate that play. At least the way we run it. It always seems that the other team sniffs it out and we have one blocker but two defenders. IMO we should abandon that play.

Because we have a quarterback who can't throw down the middle, or tall wide receivers who can't grab those overthrown passes or receivers who are so slow they can't get separation, or maybe Rob Spence has a 5 star son who wants to play for Bama,so Dabo decided to offer him a job coaching the practice squad and was beating the Kevin Steele lead practice squad daily.
Whatever the reason, you got to admit it works.
We are , after all, 5-0.
