Who would you like to see a Home/Away with?

Jun 23, 2017, 10:39 AM

Other than a traditional SEC school?

I'd like to see us play Texas A&M (relatively new to the SEC) since our military heritages are very similar
Michigan would be a great home/away series
Arizona might be interesting - Dabo vs Rich Rod

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think playing Texas A&M in 2018 and 2019 would be great

Re: You just had to throw in "other than an SEC school" but

Jun 23, 2017, 10:41 AM

Florida. We were (at one point) both part of the same conference and we recruit against each other for the same prospects. Would be a great opponent.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Screw Calford.

That's not going to happen because Florida won't play

Jun 23, 2017, 1:59 PM

anyone with a pulse OOC aside from FSU. They've played 4 games against Miami in the last 15 years and then you have to go all the way to 1991 to find another non-FSU P5 opponent (Cuse).

Jun 23, 2017, 2:18 PM [ in reply to Re: You just had to throw in "other than an SEC school" but ]

I grew up in FL as a Gator and would love nothing more than this.

But alas, they have their FCS opponents and FSU and thats that.

2nd on my list would be Toledo

Washington

Jun 23, 2017, 10:41 AM

That way I could see the Tigers play every couple years. UW is emerging, and the PAC12 offensive style would be a good challenge for our defensive front and secondary.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Arizona, Stanford, Oregon or Washington***

I'd like to see Texas, but before Herman gets all of his players and scheme installed.

Alabama would be great but they're scared to play home and homes so i would have to go with BYU. Would be cool to visit Provo and their fans travel very well.

Re: Who would you like to see a Home/Away with?

Jun 23, 2017, 10:59 AM

Michigan, Texas, Florida, USC

Honestly a home and home with Bama would be awesome in few years coming off these natty games. Going in to Tuscaloosa with the history now of two of the best natty games in recent history would be epic.

Re: Who would you like to see a Home/Away with?

Bama rarely plays home and home with OOC schools.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Re: Who would you like to see a Home/Away with?

Jun 23, 2017, 11:15 AM

Oregon Ducks. I married an Oregon State Beaver and was taught to despise the ducks. I would like Clemson to go smoke them at Autzen, and then have them come to Death Valley so they can hear what a real stadium sounds like. They have a very arrogant fan base.

Big name program that we could consistently beat. Plus Ann Arbor is awesome (assuming we play early in the fall before it freezes over).

We already got A&M scheduled in 18 and 19...

Jun 23, 2017, 11:39 AM

So you got your wish there.

For me it would be the real USC, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, Ok State, Washington, and Florida. Florida would be the least likely of those because they haven't played an out of conference game outside of the state of Florida for like the past 25 years.

A west coast team like Washington, Oregon, or USC would be really neat, but I don't really like the idea of doing that as a home and home and having to travel 3000 miles to play out there in week 1 or week 2 of a season.

Re: Who would you like to see a Home/Away with?

Ole Miss, Texas, Nebraska, Maryland, Colorado or West Virginia. These would be my top half dozen. All interesting traditional programs with solid histories and good places to visit.

Go Tigers!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You have clearly never been to a Maryland game

Jun 23, 2017, 2:32 PM

We played them for like 50+ years. They are neither interesting or a good place to visit.

Schedule a trip to DC instead and skip Univ Maryland. You're welcome.
