I'm not sure I'd be first in line if I was 80 years old.

I think you should give it to the front line workers and the healthy young people first just to make sure there aren't any crazy side effects.

That way you vaccinate the majority of your working, traveling, social population which will in turn keep the more elderly/vulnerable safe.

I would have no problem taking the vaccine, but I would not want my 90 yr old grandmother to immediately get it.

We will review records and create a list of all public officials who made statements casting the Trump vaccine(s) in a negative light. These people will never get the vaccine. Good luck.

You're missing the point of a vaccine.

This is more like a seasonal flu shot. It works on the strains we know of right now, and doesn't convey permanent immunity, just a few months' worth. Which is probably enough. You don't really care who gets it as long as enough people do because if you can get a bug below R1 - meaning, the rate at which infection is equal to the number of people beating it - the bug stops spreading and dies out because there just aren't enough available people left to keep spreading it around.

It's just a math problem, and we'll all be vulnerable to COVID again in a year even if we get a shot now. The hope is that the bug is wiped out before then.
