Which was the worst loss...Syracuse for us this year, or Pitt last year?

Can't sleep so surfing Tnet and that question comes to mind especially after reading that arsehats stuff from FoxSports.
I would say last years Pitt game myself because of the Bryant concussion being the biggest issue for us this year, but do still wonder about why our D was so off for that loss to the Cuse. Cant recall much on the Pitt loss though. Has anyone compared and contrasted those losses?

From a defensive standpoint, both games were bad.We just couldn't stop either opponent's offense. From an offensive perspective, IMO, the loss to Syracuse was worse because no way should Kelly have started that game. The Coaching staff should have planned for either Hunter,or Zerrick to start, switch if need be, and give Kelly time to heal. Just my take.Either way, neither loss has kept us out of the CFP' scenarios.but we can't lose another. And I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.What happened happened, and the chips will fall where they fall.

I have to say the Pitt loss was worse. It was at home, our defense got torched repeatedly, and our team was essentially full strength. Syracuse was away on a short week and we played without several key players..

What? Pitt was a good team that beat us and penn st, two conference champions. Syracuse isn’t even a bowl team and probably has the worst defense in the conference. Even with KB out, we still should have scored 40. No matter how you slice it, the Syracuse loss was absolutely terrible. The worst loss we’ve had since NC st in 2011.

Yep. While Cuse has improved this year they are still not close to Pitt last year.

If we can get another natty, they will be equally unimportant, imho.

We lost to Pitt and still won the natty
Could happen again, but 2016 Natty is already in the books

The Pitt lose was winnable. The ints and a 4th down stop. Cuse just flat out beat us. Also Pitt had beat Okie St and tho they had a bad D had won some games and played great on O. Cuse has played pretty good O but Pitt was better last year than Cuse this year. We were on the road this year but I so believe the Cuse game was worse. We were out gained and out played. We out gained Pitt just had too many turnovers.

One loss per season. Amazing.

Not close. Syracuse. Remember, Pitt had beaten a good Penn State and just before the bowl games was ranked in the top 25.

If we respond to the Syracuse loss like we did Pitt last year. Win a second straight natty. I'd say both losses were equally awesome

The loss to Pitt didn't matter: we won it all.
The loss to Syracuse could still keep up from winning it all.

How can the Syracuse loss keep us from winning the Championship?

Our D didn't show up for the pitt game they had over 500 yards that game and our DT couldn't stop that little shovel pass

Which loss was worse, this year's loss to Kentucky, Texas A&M, or Georgia, or last year's loss to Mississippi State, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, or South Florida?

Pitt ... we needed a lot of help from other teams above us
Nov 16, 2017, 2:44 PM

... to get back in the hunt that late in the season. We only had two more regular season games remaining at that point.
Plus, we lost to Pitt at home and with our best players on the field.
Against Syracuse, it was still early enough to recover on our own and we also had the mitigating circumstances of KB2's injury to affect the judgement of the CFP committee.

Pitt. We had a chance to win the division at home and we crapped the bed. Not to mention that we had DW the entire game.
