Clemson can't beat good competition because

Nov 25, 2012, 8:13 AM

we play in this crap conference against the little sisters of the poor and are ill prepared for the big boys. Think Kramer winning all of those karate matches and bragging about it only to find out he was beating elementary school kids. Same thing with Clemson and the ACC. It's time to leave.

What twisted logic - did you go to Clemson?

Nov 25, 2012, 8:18 AM

Changing leagues will make us better? No matter where you go, there you are. We'd still be who we are and have who we have....Ask WVU how it is in the Big 12 or Missouri about how it is in the SEC - you still have to have the right coaches and players, oh and a nutrition and S&C program from this century.
Wow!

The conference and the way it is perceived heavily

influences the culture of the program (ACC=soft) and ultimately recruiting in a huge way. USC got eventually got better after getting in the SEC. That and hiring Spurrier is why they're so much better than us.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

USC got better because they hired a good coach...

Nov 25, 2012, 8:46 AM

nothing else.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

To be competitive, they were forced to hire...

Nov 25, 2012, 9:04 AM

a good, proven coach. The rigor of the SEC was such that South Carolina could not experiment with a wide receivers coach or a high school coach.

Not twisted logic...

Would you prepare for a 26-mile marathon by running 1 mile a day? That is the equivalent of what he's saying.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah but in the end all the kids beat up Kramer.
